is the first of a new and uplifting modern day Roots Reggae
compilations, reflecting the current Reggae scene in Jamaica,
USA and the UK. With the absence of any other roots compilation
in the market, Echoes magazine (Feb 05) has already hailed
Contemporary Roots Reggae vol.1 as “the best new Roots
compilation on the market”.
The album features three songs which have all hit the No. 1 spot
in Jamaica:
- Hungry – Fantan Mojah (3 weeks No.1)
- Blood again /The way your Living – Richie Spice ( 4 Weeks No1)
- Leave The Trees - Chezidek (2 weeks No.1)
and are all currently in reggae charts in the UK, Europe and
the US.
Other tracks on the album creating a buzz and tipped for big
things later on in the year are Congo Man - Jah Cure, Call on
Jah - Turbulence and Free - Sizzla.
